Keyboard and focus
Core navigation and answer controls use native links, buttons, and form fields. Visible focus shows where keyboard input will go.
Accessibility in the family beta
Play Learn Rise is being built for keyboard use, touch, read aloud, reduced motion, and clear visual feedback. This page explains what is supported today and where we still need feedback.

Supported today
Accessibility is tested throughout the learning loop, not only on marketing pages.
Core navigation and answer controls use native links, buttons, and form fields. Visible focus shows where keyboard input will go.
Learners can hear prompts and choices. Adults can choose how much is read and can turn automatic reading off.
The Calm motion setting and the device reduced-motion preference replace major game animations with direct state changes.
Correctness is announced in words and is not communicated by color alone. Text, controls, and touch targets are reviewed across phone and tablet widths.
Target and known limits
WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the product target, not a certification claim. Automated checks cover contrast, control names, focus, target size, reduced motion, and common keyboard paths. Not every activity has completed an independent review with every browser, screen reader, switch, or zoom configuration.
The core learning journey has automated keyboard and reduced-motion coverage, but physical-device VoiceOver and TalkBack testing is still required before district pilot sign-off.
Natural narration depends on service configuration and connection quality. Every lesson must remain usable with the visible text and model when narration is unavailable.
Core paths receive the deepest review first. Some optional activities have not yet completed the same manual assistive-technology review.
If something blocks learning, email accessibility@playlearnrise.com. Tell us the device, browser, activity, and what you were trying to do. Do not send a child name, school record, diagnosis, or screenshot with private information.
